BOSS PULSE

Privacy Policy

Boss Money Mortgage Brokers Pty Ltd, trading as Boss Money

Effective 27 July 2026

1. About this policy and who we are

BOSS PULSE is operated by Boss Money Mortgage Brokers Pty Ltd (ABN 28 636 568 842), trading as Boss Money ("we", "us", "our"). We are a mortgage broking business and an authorised credit representative 371972 of Finsure Finance and Insurance Pty Ltd (Australian Credit Licence 384704).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This policy explains what information BOSS PULSE collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to your use of the BOSS PULSE app and website.

If you go on to apply for a loan or receive credit assistance from Boss Money, our separate Boss Money Privacy Policy and Credit Guide will also apply to that process. You can request those at any time using the contact details below.

2. What BOSS PULSE does

BOSS PULSE helps you understand how competitive your current home loan is. You enter some details about your loan, the app compares them against benchmark rates, gives you an indicative result, and gives you the option to book a call or make an enquiry with Boss Money about refinancing.

3. The information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
  • Loan and property information: details about your home loan such as your current lender, interest rate, loan balance or limit, loan account or reference numbers, repayment type, property type and whether the loan is owner occupied or for investment.
  • Information you choose to provide: anything else you enter into the app or send us, including when you book a call or make an enquiry.
  • Technical and usage data: information about how you use the app, such as device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed and actions taken, collected through cookies and similar tools (see section 11).

If a future version of the app lets you securely connect your banking data to retrieve your actual loan details, that connection will be handled through an accredited third party provider and you will be asked for separate, specific consent at that time. We do not collect or store your banking login details.

We try to collect only what we reasonably need to provide the service.

4. How we collect your information

We collect information:

  • directly from you, when you enter details into the app, create a profile, book a call or make an enquiry;
  • automatically, through cookies and analytics tools when you use the app; and
  • in some cases from third parties you have authorised, such as a secure data provider if you choose to connect financial data.

5. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose your information

We use your information to:

  • provide the BOSS PULSE rate assessment and show you your result;
  • contact you about your enquiry and, where you have asked us to, about refinancing or other finance options;
  • pass your enquiry and details to Boss Money so a broker can follow up;
  • operate, maintain, secure and improve the app;
  • send you updates or marketing where you have consented (see section 6); and
  • meet our legal, regulatory and licensing obligations.

6. Direct marketing and how to opt out

With your consent, we may send you information about Boss Money services, rate updates or offers by email, SMS or phone. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, replying to ask us to stop, or contacting us using the details below. We will action opt out requests promptly.

7. Who we share your information with

We may share your information with:

  • Boss Money brokers and staff, so your enquiry can be actioned;
  • service providers who help us run the app, such as hosting, database, email and analytics providers, who are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us;
  • lenders, aggregators or referral partners, but only where you progress an enquiry or application and to the extent needed to act on your instructions; and
  • others where required or permitted by law, for example to regulators or law enforcement.

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Storing your information overseas

Some of our service providers, including our hosting, database, email and error-monitoring providers, may store or process information on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with this policy and the APPs.

9. How we keep your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls, encryption in transit, and using reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and respond appropriately if an issue arises.

10. How long we keep your information, and deleting your data

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law and our licensing obligations, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time. The app includes a "delete my data" option, and you can also contact us using the details below. Some information may need to be retained where the law requires it, and we will tell you if that applies.

11. Cookies and analytics

The app uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, remember your preferences and understand how it is used so we can improve it. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly if you disable them.

12. Credit related information

BOSS PULSE is an information tool and does not obtain your credit report. If you go on to apply for finance through Boss Money, separate handling applies to credit related and credit eligibility information under the Privacy Act and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code, and our Boss Money Privacy Policy and Credit Guide will cover that process.

13. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

14. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first using the details below and we will work to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available in the app, and we will update the effective date at the top when we make changes.
